Research summary
The study is assessing the validity and reliability of socket-stump interface measurements produced by quantum technology super sensors (QTSS) in transfemoral amputee participants. QTSS will be fitted to participants' sockets; each participant will be asked to wear these in different stances (e.g. walking). The pressure and shear measurements produced by the QTSS will be assessed against alternative forms of measurement such as Tekscans and the participant's feedback. In addition the study will assess the experience of the clinical team in using the technology.
