    This Workpackage evaluates the development of a smartphone application which will be integrated with clinic ICT systems at 1 UK and 4 European clinical sites as part of an EU funded project entitled EmERGE. The Workpackage builds on a pilot study that tested the evaluation protocol and its relevance at a single UK clinical site. Over a 5 year period (May 2015 to April 2020) the Workpackage will evaluate the ’app’ and its use by patients and clinicians involved in HIV in: Brighton, Antwerp, Lisbon, Barcelona, Zagreb. The Workpackage involves qualitative, sociotechnical evaluation of the app development and implementation process. Results of the evaluation will inform the app development and dissemination.
