  Demographic change and restructured health care delivery has led to an increased need for palliative care within community settings. The social needs of those living in their own homes in receipt of palliative care is unclear. This research proposes to use interviews with those most affected to better understand social needs, how these change through illness and how they are currently met. This will help inform service development and direct further research in this area.
