Research summary
This study evaluates the role of the integrated community mental health team and a crisis team in their support of people with mental health issues. It is established that improving people's social networks and social capital supports their recovery and resilience to mental health issues. Collating data at baseline and six month follow up will provide comparable data on the impact of these interventions for improving social connectivity using the Connecting People Intervention model and the availability of support from the Managed Care Network, a federation of support groups, for people newly referred to these teams.
The data derived from this study will also provide benchmark data for future research into the approaches that support recovery and resilience in mental health care.REC name
