• Research summary

  Colon cancer outcomes are now worse than rectal cancer in data published from other developed economies. We want to see if this is true in the UK using government databases. If it is, we believe that sigmoid cancer would be the best place to start research to improve outcomes. We will confirm that sigmoid cancer is the most common site of colon cancer, and check whether there is significant national variation in the treatment and outcomes of sigmoid cancer.
