Research summary
This study explores how the use of shared decision-making aid tools, including leaflets and audiovisual tools, affects patient understanding, adherence to treatment, patient experience, and patient health outcomes in patients with high-grade glioma at Addenbrookes Hospital. Participants will be asked to engage in decision-making aids (audiovisual and leaflet) and complete questionnaires.
This study involves glioma patients, their carers, and PPI groups. It has the following work packages:
Work Package 1: Assessment of Shared Decision-Making (glioma patients)
Work Package 2: Refining SDM aid intervention (PPI Groups)
Work Package 3: Feasibility of Incorporation of Shared Decision-Making Aids Pilot (glioma patients and their carers)
