Research summary
SHIFT will empower people aged 45 and over to participate in sexual health services and improve their sexual health and welllbeing. The empowerment will avoid assumption by using insight gathering and testing existing evidence. This project will involve a co-created and piloted model for future service provision which can be adapted for other geographic and cultural locations. The aim of this study is to examine and identify factors influencing access to sexual health services by those 45 and over and provide information that can be used as a basis for the design of the future model. This will improve awareness and access in the target groups, therefore increasing wellbeing and a decrease in health inequalities.
