Research summary
A new service, called Scale-up BP (a telemonitoring blood pressure service) where patients with hypertension share their home blood pressure readings with their clinicians is currently being rolled out in general practices in Lothian. This study aims to evaluate Scale-up BP from a general practice, patient and stakeholder perspective in order to identify any technological, professional and service level barriers to the new service. We plan to use semi-structured interviews, direct observation and questionnaire surveys with providers and users of Scale-up BP to answer our research questions.
