  • Research summary

This pilot study is being conducted to understand how glucose levels vary (glycaemic variability) in people with impaired glucose tolerance or prediabetes. This is known to be a risk factor for developing Type 2 Diabetes. Understanding how glucose levels vary in this population, may help inform the design of future potential studies.

The study will be conducted at primary care sites (GP surgeries) in England and aim to recruit approximately 40 participants.

Enrolled participants will wear FreeStyle Libre Pro sensors while tracking exercise and food intake, and will also later use the FreeStyle Libre system, interacting with it as little or as often as they choose.
