Research summary
Background. Breast Cancer is the most common malignancy in women. There is little data available to provide accurate post operative recovery times to patients in pre operative clinic.
Objective: The aim of this study is to evaluate the average time taken for patients to recover and get back to their day to day activities after breast reconstruction surgery.
Method; A regional questionnaire has been developed by the North West Breast Research Collaborative focusing on patients post operative recovery. Each patient undergoing breast reconstruction will be invited to complete the questionnaire. The results will be analysed. This information can then be used in the future to better inform women of recovery times with different forms of surgery.REC name
