Research summary
The study is a pragmatic, retrospective, single-center case series. It is aimed to evaluate the outcome and complications of all distal biceps repairs and reconstructions made in Wrightington Hospital Upper Limb Unit between 1st April 2010 and 31st March 2017. The study is divided into three parts. First part will evaluate the demographics, outcome and complications of all direct distal biceps repairs. Second part will evaluate the validity and sensitivity of O’Driscoll hook test in consecutive series of 200 cases. Third part evaluates the outcome and complications of repair and reconstruction of chronic distal biceps tear with Achilles autograft.
