Research summary
This study looks at whether resilience, the ability to bounce back from challenges, can help explain the link between thinking skills and quality of life in adults with epilepsy. Thinking skills, also called executive functioning, include things like planning, solving problems, and managing emotions. People with epilepsy can have very different day-to-day experiences, and some cope better than others. We want to find out if having strong thinking skills makes people more resilient, and whether that resilience then improves their quality of life. Learning more about these links could help healthcare providers find ways to better support people with epilepsy.
