Research summary
The overall aim of RESHAPE-CARE is to transform Multiple Long Term Conditions care delivery by increasing the personalisation of testing (both for condition monitoring and diagnosis), reducing patients’ burden of treatment, increasing efficiency of health services and improving patient outcomes, through using a systems engineering approach.
In this study / ethics application we will focus on stakeholder work. This will include stakeholder perspectives regarding the (1) specific topics for later innovation (disease monitoring and diagnostic testing in people with multiple conditions and (2) more general issues regarding both person-centred care and the use of digital technologies to guide testing. A key element of this study is a longitudinal programme of engagement with underserved communities through repeated focus groups facilitated by community health research link workers. At times these groups will function as research participation and at times as PPIE advising the research. We will make it clear at all times which of these applies at all times.
Development, implementation and evaluation of solutions will be the subject of a later ethics proposal.
