Research summary
This is an observational study comparing the diagnosis of respiratory illnesses using cough sound analytic algorithms from the ResAppDx-EU v2.0 to a clinical diagnosis (non-standard reference test), in adolescents and adult patients.
The study will also establish a baseline for the resource use and cost of current care pathways for respiratory disease diagnosis in an emergency department.Summary of study results:
The study sponsor was closed down and thus there was a lack of funding for the continuation of the study. At the time the study ceased the recruitment targets weren't met and thus meaningful statistical analysis could not be performed.
