Research summary
The aim is to develop a questionnaire to ask about behaviour/hygiene/sexual practices which may be related to recurrent urinary tract infection (rUTI) to identify whether there are any links between these practices and rUTI. This will be piloted before circulating to all patients attending urodynamics. Patients with LUTs other than rUTI and asymptomatic women are to be the comparison groups.
I will also validate the Pelvic Organ Prolapse/Urinary Incontinence Questionnaire IUGA revised (PISQ-IR) and Patient Perception of Bladder Condition (PPBC) questionnaires in women suffering with rUTI with the aim of being able to assess the impact the condition has on their quality of life better.
I will run 2 focus groups to identify significant issues associated with rUTI.REC name
