• Data collection arrangements

  Data considering previous surgical treatment of rectal cancer in Queen Alexandra Hospital will be collected and stored on database which is held on a password secured hospital environment.

• Research programme

  The research projects that will be the subject of the rectal cancer database will include: - a analysis of 2 minimal access techniques (laparoscopic and robotic assisted) for the oncological treatment of rectal cancer. - a comparison of routinely diverted low anterior resections versus selective diverted patients. In due course new projects can be added to the purpose of the database.
