Research summary
This research is being carried out to find out the reasons why patients do not take part in research studies when they have been invited to by their GP (family doctor). This information will then be used to improve how research studies are carried out, which will hopefully increase the number of patients who decide to take part in research studies. Increasing the number of patients taking part in research studies, will help to improve the quality of research and health-care.
The research is being carried out in primary care (GP practices), and will involve patients who have been invited by their GP, in the last 12 months, to take part in a research study but decided not to.
The research study will last for 6 months, including sending out the questionnaires, analysing the responses and writing about the results.
