    Bacterial infections in People Who Inject Drugs (PWID) can cause severe disease and high levels of hospital admission. Anecdotal and some evidence from heart valve infection indicates that this group may respond differently to infection than non PWID. This retrospective note review hopes to clarify if there are differences in how the groups differ in severity for infection with the same bacteria matched for a surrogate marker of amount of infective burden
