  • Research summary

This study aims to investigate the effects of PulseCath iVAC2L on the heart and the circulatory system. The cardiac muscle can become weakened and overloaded, leading to symptoms of heart failure. Heart support devices are utilized to prevent additional damage to, or instability of the heart and to reduce the occurrence of potentially fatal complications during angioplasty. Before, during and after angioplasty with PulseCath iVAC2L support, working patterns of the heart pump will be monitored invasively. Additionally, measurements reflecting the behaviour of the circulatory system will be also obtained, including additional data from extra blood samples.
