  • Research summary

Changing the way in which vascular services are organised will have an effect on patients, not only in terms of impacts on expected health outcomes, but also from changes to other aspects of service organisation such as waiting times, travelling distances and treatment processes. This study seeks to identify which ‘non-health’ attributes of service provision are important to patients and to establish the relative value society places on these attributes vis-à-vis health outcomes. This will be done by recruiting up to 1,000 healthy volunteers to complete a one time only telephone interview, which will gather data on preferences for vascular treatment across the U.K.
