  • Research summary

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is now recognised as persisting into adulthood. The majority of existing ADHD research tends to focus on cause and medication treatments. Limitations therefore exist in the breadth and depth of qualitative research into the experiences of ADHD diagnosis. Existing qualitative research is largely descriptive, which also has a prominent focus on medication treatment. As such, psychological processes have not been sufficiently explored. The present study aims to evaluate the processes people go through when diagnosed with ADHD from a psychological perspective using interviews and Thematic Analysis.
