  The first phase of the study will gather longitudinal data and information about the psychosocial impact of Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) or Pulmonary Embolism (PE) on patients. This will be done by using a survey, to be completed by patients at 2 time points. The second phase of the study will comprise a pilot Randomised Control Trial (RCT)of a brief psychological intervention to reduce distress after DVT or PE.
