Research summary
This study will use combined imaging with positron emission tomography (PET) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in a hybrid PET/MRI scanner using choline and prostate specific membrane antigen (PSMA) PET tracers to try to improve detection and grading of prostate cancer compared to the current standard which is MRI on its own.
The reference standard for comparison will be histological analysis from either systematic transperineal biopsy (TPB) or prostatectomy specimens acquired as part of the patients' clinical management.REC name
