Research summary
This project uses a face-to-face questionnaire to achieve a cross-sectional view of the quality of life and psychological well-being of hospital inpatients with dementia. It also asks questions about patient’s involvement in music and art with an aim to describe links between cognitive and psychological wellbeing and quality of life with participation in music and art in dementia patients. This study aims to recruit between 100 and 200 patients to take part in the anonymous questionnaire.
The questionnaire will include both validated measures and researcher-developed questions regarding interest and past participation in arts and music programmes.
