Research summary
PRIC-CVD is part of a wider European project iCARE4CVD whose objective is to personalise the treatment and prevention of cardiovascular disease CVD. This is funded by Innovate Uk (UKRI) PRIC-CVD will form a panel of 10 patients at different stages of CVD which will aim to identify the preferences, requirements and needs of patients to improve the diagnosis and treatment of CVD. It will do this by building a tailored set of patient reported outcome measures(PROMs) and patient reported experience measures.(PREMs) Also by developing motivational models and frameworks that will increase patient's adherence to treatment and use of technology. Participants will be asked to complete tasks, including completing informal questionnaires, surveys, interviews, reviewing of care pathways and development of frameworks and models. Participants will be remunerated per task completed.In addition the project will seek recruit a total of 5 healthcare professionals, for example a cardiologist, medical physician, heart failure nurse of experienced CVD nurse. The Hcp's will complete 2 activities linked to the patient panel, assess PROM's and PREM's in a focus group and evaluate the developed motivational model in a developed Delphi study.
