Data collection arrangements
The data to be collected include the video EEG recordings including polygraphic channels such as ECG or EMG and Video EEG report data which were collected during subjects’ standard of care visits at NHNN. These data are video images of subjects having an epileptic seizure and the EEG recordings of neural activity from these subjects. The EMU summary data include the other standard biomarkers and medical information collected by specialists during a visit to the EMU for evaluation of epilepsy. Data will be collected from existing medical records at NHNN.
Research programme
These data are collected as part of a multi-site database intended to better understand the risk factors for unexpected death due to epilepsy. As such it is intended to serve the interests of subjects with epilepsy and their families.
