Type 1 diabetes is a disease that results in a complete lack of insulin production and needs to be controlled by insulin treatment and glucose management through diet or medication. Obstructive Sleep Apnoea is a sleep breathing disorder that results in airway closure and can reduce glucose control and has been directly associated with Type 2 Diabetes, however how common this disorder is in patients with Type 1 Diabetes has not been researched.
