  • Research summary

The study will look at the methods of producing pressure garments that deliver pressure therapy and assess the outcomes of using a known pressure (computer application) and an unknown pressure (manual method). The participant will be given a choice of pressure garments that deliver pressure within the acceptable range for current practice. The pressure will be measured at the start of the therapy and the end of the study. The participant and the therapist will be asked to complete questionnaires to provide feedback to support the practical application of pressure for scar management. The scar will be assessed using the accepted POSAS format which relies on the experience and expertise of the therapist to assess healing changes.
