Research summary
This study will compare women with a Fontan circulation (single ventricle) who have a pregnancy to women with a Fontan circulation who have not had a pregnancy. We know that during pregnancy there is a significantly increased risk of complications for the mum and the baby in women with a Fontan circulation. However, we would like to know more about the long-term effects of pregnancy in this group of patients and understand if pregnancy has a longer term negative effect on morbidity and mortality.
