Research summary
This study will use a combination of validated participant questionnaires to investigate the nature and prevalence of pain killer dependence in a low back pain population. We will investigate potential differences between those who experience acute back pain and those with low back pain. It is hoped that this will increase understanding of pain killer dependence in this population and allow the development of appropriate and targeted interventions to prevent and/or treat it.
