  • Research summary

What is the research question being addressed?
We are assessing if we can identify any factors which predict those patients more likely to respond to radiotherapy for pain due to cancer in the bones.

    Who would be eligible?
Patients who have cancer and are receiving radiotherapy for pain due to cancer in the bones, will be able to enter this study.

What would being in the study involve?
We will collect information about their pain, weight and assess if this changes over time. There are no specific drug or radiotherapy interventions. Patients will all receive radiotherapy that they would receive if they were not in the study.

How long will the study last?
Patients will have regular assessments for up to one year. It is expected that most patients will be outpatients.
