Research summary
Half of all people in the world living with HIV are women and women may respond differently to HIV and treatment than men. However, over the years women have not been included in HIV research as much as men have, which means much less is known about what will happen to women if they become HIV positive. We also know very little about why women don’t take part in research and therefore we don’t know how to make taking part in research easier. This study would like to find out what makes it difficult, or easier, for women to take part in research.
