    This study will address the question:
    How can NHS organisations understand the experiences of Polish Immigrant Service users and Carer experiences and local community Polish leads, who are accessing mental health services in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.
    To understand the experiences of Polish Immigrants during the pandemic Covid 19 and the impact on their mental health.
    To inform Practice and improve care for Polish Immigrant populations in the United Kingdom. The area being studied is mental health experiences in the UK.
    Research Questions:
    1. What key factors shape Polish immigrants’ experiences of mental health services in the UK?
    2. How does local Polish community view mental health and use of mental health services?
    3. What are the cultural and social barriers to the use of mental health services in the Polish community in the UK?
    Research Aims:
    1. To understand the attitudes and experiences of Polish immigrant to mental health and mental health service use in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.
    2. To understand the experiences of Polish immigrants during the pandemic COVID-19 and the impact on their mental health.
    3. To inform practice and improve visibility and care for Polish populations within the NHS services in the United Kingdom.
    Research Objectives
    1. To interview key Polish community stakeholders about mental health and use of NHS mental health services: (i) Polish immigrants with lived experiences of ill mental health and first hand use of mental health services in the UK, (ii) Polish immigrants who are carers of the mental health service users with lived experiences of supporting Polish individuals with ill mental health, and (iii) Polish community leaders with lived experiences of supporting cultural and social life of Polish community in the UK and with key insight into attitudes about mental health and use of mental health services.
    2. To develop culturally relevant insight into supporting promotion of visibility, access, and appropriate services for good mental health of one of the largest ethnic minority communities in the UK.

    The group eligible for this study will be mental health service users, carers and local leads who are first generation Polish immigrants aged over 18 years who are accessing service in Leicester,Leicestershire and Rutland.
    The Study will be conducted Trust Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust.
    Participants will be asked to attend an unstructured interview face to face or via Zoom. Each participant will be asked to take part for a maximum of 120 minutes, but will be able to stop at anytime. Interpreter's will be available for interviews and transcribing.The study will last for 2 years because it is being conducted as a PhD,
