Research summary
This is a preliminary study to gather data in order to understand how automated wearable/carryable logging apps combined with other non-personal data sources, like the weather, can be used give Type 1 diabetics pro-active and contextually relevant lifestyle advice. The study will involve between 6 and 12 adult Type 1 Diabetics who are out-patients at Milton Keynes University Hospital. The study will run from late 2016 until April 2017 with each patient participating for 4 weeks. This study will not provide any advice or interventions for patients, it will only gather data to determine what lifestyle advice could be given if machine learning techniques are able to use this kind of data to provide useful advice.
