Research summary
Summary of Research
Children with chronic lung disease or broncho-pulmonary dysplasia are more vulnerable to severe respiratory infections and often need PICU admission to manage these. This study will look through retrospective electronic data including the demographic and clinical profile of these patients. Outcome measures namely mortality, duration of ICU and hospital stay, duration on ventilator, other organ dysfunction whilst admitted in PICU, referral and need for ECMO will be studied and mortality predictors will be identified. Follow up data will be studied to determine mortality, hospital readmissions, need fo
r home oxygen and presence of pulmonary hypertension.Summary of Results
