Research summary
Gestational Trophoblastic Neoplasia is highly curative but can have psychological consequences for women due to the nature of the diagnosis. Little is known about the psychological distress of the diagnosis following the completion of treatment. As the specialist centre for GTN in the North of the UK, it is important to enquire what symptoms our group of patients are having. The aim of the study is to investigate if there is gap in the follow up support provided to patients diagnosed with GTN following the completion of treatment, how they managed any negative impacts and what support they received, furthermore identify any potential areas for improvement for future patients.
