Research summary
PHOENIX Study is a prospective observation study designed to collect data for one database. The aim of this Registry is to collect data from multiple centres and surgeons in Europe to provide reliable evidences on the currently used types of penile prothesis implants and to assess long-term sexual function and quality of life of patients implanted with penile prostheses and patients- and partner satisfaction by using questionnaires along with an assessment of the safety and mechanical reliability of the devices. This data will allow us to identify clinical and surgical factors that correlate with patient outcome parameters such as sexual function, QoL and satisfaction on one hand and surgical complications and mechanical reliability of the device on the other. The identification of such factors would help in developing treatment recommendations and guidelines that improve overall patients’ care.
