Research summary
The study drug, MOv18 IgE, is an IgE antibody which targets a protein called folate receptor alpha (FR alpha), which is present on a variety of cancers. The purpose of this study is to learn about the effects of the MOv18 IgE to find the best dose for treating advanced ovarian cancer and to see how safe MOv18 IgE is for patients with advanced ovarian cancer.
This study is split into two parts, the first part of the study is called a dose escalation part and the second part is called a dose expansion.
Part 1, (the dose escalation part), of the study involves the administration of the study drug, typically, at increasing doses (3mg, 6mg, 12mg, 24mg, and 48mg) in different groups of patients to gather and collect information to help find the most suitable dose to provide to participants in Part 2 of this study.Part 2, (the dose expansion part), of the study involves the administration of the study drug at the dose that was chosen at the end of Part 1.
In both parts of the study, the study medicine, MOv18 IgE, will be given to each participant as a single dose at 7-day intervals (on days 1, 8 and 15) as part of a 21-day treatment cycle.REC name
