Research summary
This research project aims to address the perspective of discharge from secondary mental health services from service users and professionals. It is of relevance as discharge is a formal process most individual who are under or work for a service are involved in. At times, it can prove to be a difficult process for both parties so, exploring factors that may affect this could be beneficial for future practice. Service users currently under the adult mental health team and professionals from varying disciplines will be eligible to take part. The study will be conducted on the premises of the NHS trust site I am based in. Each interview will last approximately 30 minutes, with the study taking place between February-June 2019, after ethical approval has been granted.
