Research summary
The aim of the survey is to gather feedback from users of social care services on their satisfaction with those services and the impact on their quality of life. The results of the survey will be used by national and local government to monitor the quality of their social care services and to inform policy and practice.
The survey covers all recipients of long-term social care services that are either arranged by or funded wholly or partly by councils.
The survey will be administered by local authorities on behalf of NHS Digital: local authorities will select participants at random from their records, send out questionnaires by post, collate the responses, and transmit non-identifiable data to NHS Digital by secure electronic transfer.
NHS Digital will analyse the data and publish a report on the results.REC name
