    This qualitative research study aims to explore perceptions and experiences of forensic in-patients with learning disabilities towards their oral health. Which is a The population are current forensic inpatients with Learning Disabilities. The lower age limit is those under 18 would be within adolescent forensic services which is not the proposed study environment. The upper age limit has There is no upper age limit is due to the age range in forensic units. The participants will be accessed by the gatekeeper (ND)in onw NHS Trust site specific to the population under investigation. The proposed number of participants is 10. Once informed consent is gained the participants will be invited for one-to-one interview with the principal investigator which mat be on 1 -6 occasions depending on data saturation. Once the participant has been approached they will have a week to consider whether they wish to participate in the study. The timescale the data collection period will be up to 3 months per participant. The total timescale of the study will be 12 months from the first participant being approached.
    Transcripts will be analysed thematically to determine commonalities between the participants experience and perceptions toward their oral health.
    The study setting: The study site will be units in a forensic setting within a local Trust Hospital. The only data collection method will be on-to-one interviews.
