  • Research summary

Diabetes management has long relied on finger-prick blood tests, which can be burdensome and only offer intermittent glucose readings. Continuous Glucose Monitors (CGM) track levels continuously, providing a more complete picture. While clinical benefits are known, the patient perspective on how CGM affects quality of life, mental wellbeing, and care experiences is less understood. This study aims to assess patient satisfaction of adults using CGM. It will investigate the impact of this technology on daily life, mental wellbeing, and overall diabetes care.

This is a cross-sectional study using a 15-minute online questionnaire. We will recruit up to 500 participants aged 18 or older who are currently using a CGM. Participants will be recruited via patient groups and clinical services. The survey includes structured questions on satisfaction to capture detailed experiences.

Participation is voluntary, with consent implied by survey submission. Participants can skip any question and withdraw at any time before submitting. All data will be anonymised and stored securely.
