Research summary
There has been a national push towards 'integrated' health and social care systems to provide more 'joined-up' interventions to the public, especially in an aging population many of whom have multiple needs. As well as clinical drivers for providing better care, both growing demand on services and limited resources support this approach. However little work has explored the perceptions and experiences of patients, the public, and staff impacted by such large scale redesigns. This work aims to redress this through repeated qualitative interviews as a novel integrated system embeds.
