Research summary
Understanding patient priorities is important in providing thorough, individualised care in oesophageal cancer. This study aims to use a combination of interviews and questionnaires to explore what is important to patients when considering endoscopic resection and/or radical surgery for oesophageal cancer, and to analyse how patients interpret the risks explained to them during the consent process. We hope that this information will improve our understanding of patient priorities and help us provide more patient-centred care in the field of oesophageal cancer.
