Research summary
This research study aims to identify the way in which patients prefer to address their healthcare professionals, but also the way in which they prefer to be addressed within a healthcare setting.
As modern medicine moves on and society has multiple different ways of engaging with each other, it is important to assess patient preferences in how they are communicated with. This has not been investigated in a Hospital setting previously in the UK- and prior studies have mainly been collated in the USA and Australia.
Therefore we think it would be of significant value to investigate how we communicate daily with patients, improve patients experience which in hospital, and this research could be used to guide future teaching on communication with patients.REC name
