Research summary
The aims of this study are to evaluate a new online information resource (OIR) for people considering jaw surgery, which is available on the British Orthodontic Society (BOS) website. This is a section of the website called Your Jaw Surgery, which provides information on orthognathic surgery, which is a recognised and well-established treatment for major skeletal discrepancies. The research will use interviews to explore the views of previous, current and potential jaw surgery patients, and will look at how easy it is to use the new OIR and the relevance of the content. The aim of the project is to provide recommendations to the BOS to improve the OIR.
