Research summary
The PathFeel Device is designed to improve balance control by applying vibrational stimuli to the sole of the foot. This study will assess the efficacy of the device in improving balance control during everyday activities including: standing, walking and stair walking. This will be conducted using a randomised cross-over design where all participants within the study will use the device in both an active and placebo (in-active) state for 3 weeks at a time. Lab based measures of balance will be taken before and after each period as the main outcome measures.
