Research summary
An initial study has been conducted by a third year trainee at Plymouth University. This trainee carried out a psychoeducational programme called Premiestart in a Neonatal Unit and completed some quantitative outcome measures. The current study aims to complete a qualitative follow up of the initial study by offering parents who attended Premiestart conjoint interviews to explore their experience of having a premature baby, being on the neonatal unit and attending Premiestart. The analysis will look to explore what impact attending Premiestart has had on their understanding of their experiences, if any at all.
