The purpose of this data driven qualitative research is to understand how parents manage the treatment of their children with allergies, in particular, any problems with the administration of the medication for their children with allergies and how they overcome these problems. Participants will be parents of children with allergies mainly allergic rhinitis/conjunctivitis and additional allergic conditions like asthma or eczema. The study will involve an interview about administering treatment to children with allergies. Another purpose of the research is to find out how useful online video interviewing is for research purposes in health services research. Participants living in Brighton area can choose to do face-to-face or online video interviews, preferably by using Skype. However, other online video software programmes can also be used. Participants from London, Ipswich and Norwich and through Allergy UK can only choose online video interviews.
