Research summary
The study will plan and carry out the construction of a database of patients who are attending orthopaedic outpatients at Abergele Hospital in order to investigate the following
a) Incidence of patients who have osteoarthritis and hypertension
b) The possible predisposing factors to hypertension and hypertension control in patients with osteoarthritis. These may include prescription of NSAIDs, obesity, pain control, diabetes, mobility and exercise, extent and duration of osteoarthrits. other predisposing conditions unrelated to osteoarthritis
The database will incorporate a combination of details from the examination of patient records, supplemented by interview and questionnaire.REC name
